- 1st shift Janitor and Machine Operator
Description
Williams Form Engineering is looking for a 1st shift Janitor and Machine Operator to work in our Comstock Park manufacturing facility. This employee will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility while also performing machine operating duties.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and maintaining the facility
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors
- Stocking and cleaning restrooms
- Ensuring that all doors are locked after work hours
- Using the proper equipment to clean up spills
- Finishing minor repairs on schedule
- Reporting major repairs to supervisors/managers
- Collecting the garbage and properly disposing of them
- Making sure tasks are completed on schedule and with little supervision
- Maintaining a store of cleaning goods
- Set up and operate some or all of the following: CNC, cutoff, press, saw, screw, tesker, and thread rolling machines
- Understand the process of all electronic transactions and necessary paperwork
- Fill out and understand daily production logs
- Assist with cycle counts as necessary
- Clean and maintain work area as instructed
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED, or 1-2 years related experience and/or training
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
- Manual dexterity required for assembling and operating machines
- Ability to perform physical labor and operate power tools commonly used in janitorial operations is required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted required
- Able to stand, walk, bend and twist for at least seven hours per day
- Must be able to effectively manage time and work both independently and in groups
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperatures. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product. Machinery operations require the use of safety equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, and hardhats. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
