We are in need of two CNC Machinists.

1st shift (Equipment Development-with Programming experience) 

The machinist will Setup and operate all types of machine tools, such as but not limited to lathes, milling machines, CNC, grinders, saws and lappers to be used to machine metal, 
plastic or other pieces to specifications, tooling instructions or standard charts by applying knowledge of machine methods.
Able to work in a Team atmosphere and operate under 5S organizational practices

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Creates and modifies product fixtures and tools using machine equipment and techniques acquired by experience. 
•    Set up and operate CNC Vertical Machining Centers (VMC). 
•    Edit CNC programs as needed. 
•    Machines and modifies prototype parts and fixtures and engineering tooling as directed. 
•    Perform basic maintenance on CNC, VMC, HMC, Turning Center and manual machines. 
•    Able to follow Instructions and GMP Standards in a regulated environment
•    Perform other duties as required
•    Work in a Team atmosphere with different departments as needed

Qualifications:

•    5-7 years’ experience in layout, design and manufacturing high precision molds for injection molding, preferably thermoplastic and silicone
•    Experience programming and operating a high performance CNC machining center machining using hardened stainless steel in an injection mold environment.
•    Knowledge and experience using a 3D CAD/CAM system utilizing surfaces and solid models (SolidWorks preferred)
•    Experience selecting appropriate tooling and machine accessories
•    Experience setting up and using part probes and laser tool gage probes
•    Ability to develop and document effective machining strategies.
•    Ability to use inspection aids and equipment (micrometers, microscope, indicators, calipers, etc.)
•    Experience working with a mold shop team, contribute to mold build planning.
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision
•    Good written and oral communication skills 

2nd shift (Swiss Machining)

The machinist will setup and operate all types of machinery, such as, but not limited to, CNC Swiss-style lathes to be used to machine metal, plastic or other types of material to meet customer specifications in a production style format or a research and development style format. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Sets up and operates CNC Swiss-style lathes. 
•    Edits CNC programs as needed. 
•    Machines and modifies prototype parts as needed.
•    Offsets tooling in a manner that best produces product.
•    Performs basic maintenance on CNC Swiss-style lathes. 
•    Follows Instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in a regulated environment.
•    Maintains a safe environment. 
•    Works in a team atmosphere with different departments as needed.
•    Ensures work area, machines, tooling, and parts are maintained and cleaned regularly.
•    Performs other reasonable duties as required.

Qualifications:

•    5-7 years’ experience in manufacturing high precision metal components.
•    Experience programming and operating a high performance CNC machining center, machining various steels and plastics.
•    Knowledge and experience using a 3D CAD/CAM system utilizing surfaces and solid models (Auto Desk Part Maker preferred).
•    Experience selecting appropriate tooling and machine accessories.
•    Experience setting up Swiss style lathes.
•    Ability to develop and implement effective machining strategies.
•    Ability to use Visual Inspection Systems and other measuring devices such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, etc.
•    Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•    Good written and oral communication skills.
•    Must be able to comprehend blueprints and use basic mathematical skills.
•    Must be able to understand basic Geometric Dimensional Tolerance (GDT).
•    Must be able to lift 25lbs.
•    Must be able to stand and use a microscope for prolonged periods of time.
