PRODUCT REGULATORY SPECIALIST - REGULATORY/COMPLIANCE EXPERIENCE WITHIN

We are recruiting for our client, a start-up well funded Regulatory Consultancy with a difference. What does that mean? Well, they are a group of PhD Machine Learning experts that are developing and using AI models to drive specific Product Regulatory Compliance Frameworks for their clients (large Global Automotive and Electronics Manufacturing firms).

Reporting the COO, you will be their first "Forward Deployed Regulatory Engineer" to act as a thoughtful partner to newly acquired customers. Part consultant, part colleague and part peer, you'll work alongside them to understand their regulatory processes and identify high-value opportunities to scale their use of the AI Agent. Duties will include;

1. Lead onboarding & implementation to turn a signed deal into an engaged, confident user base, setting the foundation for long-term retention & expansion
2. Help customers navigate one of the biggest shifts in how regulatory work gets done by- guiding teams (some adopting AI for the first time) through the tangible value it brings to their workflows, across both efficiency and robustness.
3. Serve as the critical link between customers and Company, surfacing field signal from the front lines back to product, GTM, and leadership to shape the roadmap.
4. Identify reusable patterns across deployments that will help build out the sales playbook, so each engagement makes the next one faster and smoother.
5. Spot risks and expansion opportunities early, and act on them, protecting renewals and unlocking growth before anyone asks you to.

You will have a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering advantageous) with deep regulatory or compliance experience, from a product compliance, certification or homologations team ideally in automotive, mobility or other highly regulated industries that are launching complex products in diverse markets.

You will sit directly alongside customers, digging into their compliance problems, building and rolling out solutions with them in real time, forging strong relationships, and channelling those insights straight back into how they build, hence you must extremely customer centric by nature and have the natural interpersonal skills that this role will demand. You should also have knowledge of the AI/automation landscape (e.g. Claude Code).

Our client is mostly interested in candidates who are very excited about working for a Regulatory Tech start- up and who are interested in working directly with customers using their own technical background to facilitate their onboarding and success.

Please note, whilst the role is offered remote that you are still expected to be in the USA (and with full working rights there) and be required to travel regularly to meet clients and occasional visits to the Head Office in Lower Manhattan.
