Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable CNC Machinist to join our 2nd shift team. In this role, you will machine precision components across a variety of materials and processes, supporting both production and prototype development.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machining equipment (manual and/or CNC mills, lathes, etc.)
• Machine components used in:
  
  • Aluminum Die Casting
  • CNC Machining applications
  • Tool & Die fabrication and repair
  • Zinc Die Casting
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications
• Perform precision machining to meet tight tolerances and quality standards
• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges
• Make adjustments and offsets to maintain part accuracy
• Support prototype development and new product introduction
• Perform routine machine maintenance and cleaning
• Maintain accurate production and inspection records
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training preferred
• 2+ years of machining experience preferred
• Experience working with aluminum, zinc, and tool steels is a plus
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances (GD&T a plus)
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Experience with precision measuring tools
• Basic computer skills for machine interface and documentation
• Submission to a criminal background check

Preferred Skills

• Experience in die casting environments (aluminum and/or zinc)
• Background in tool & die machining or maintenance
• Familiarity with prototyping and low-volume production work
• Ability to perform basic CNC program edits
• Knowledge of tooling, speeds, and feeds
• Experience with lean manufacturing practices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Manual dexterity for handling tools and parts
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment
