Adecco is recruiting for a CNC Setup Machinist (Milling) for a client in Auburn, NY. This position is temp-to-hire, paying up to $30/hour DOE, and offers the opportunity to join a small, growing manufacturing team where your work has a direct impact on production.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with machines, solving problems, and being part of a team where versatility and reliability are valued.

Job Responsibilities

• Set up CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal) based on work orders and specifications

• Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices

• Load and verify programs and perform test runs as needed

• Inspect first-piece parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards

• Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and consistent production

• Support overall shop operations, including troubleshooting, production support, and assisting operators as needed

• Operate machinery and assist with day-to-day production when setups are not actively being performed

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED

• Previous machine shop or manufacturing experience required

• Experience with CNC milling machines (setups or operation) strongly preferred

• Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work in a hands-on, team-oriented shop environment and take on a variety of responsibilities

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift

• Reliable, consistent attendance is required

Pay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
