- CNC Setup Machinist (Milling)
Description
Adecco is recruiting for a CNC Setup Machinist (Milling) for a client in Auburn, NY. This position is temp-to-hire, paying up to $30/hour DOE, and offers the opportunity to join a small, growing manufacturing team where your work has a direct impact on production.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working hands-on with machines, solving problems, and being part of a team where versatility and reliability are valued.
Job Responsibilities
Set up CNC milling machines (vertical and horizontal) based on work orders and specifications
Install and adjust tooling, fixtures, and workholding devices
Load and verify programs and perform test runs as needed
Inspect first-piece parts using measuring tools to ensure quality standards
Make adjustments to maintain tolerances and consistent production
Support overall shop operations, including troubleshooting, production support, and assisting operators as needed
Operate machinery and assist with day-to-day production when setups are not actively being performed
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Previous machine shop or manufacturing experience required
Experience with CNC milling machines (setups or operation) strongly preferred
Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
Ability to work in a hands-on, team-oriented shop environment and take on a variety of responsibilities
Ability to stand for the duration of the shift
Reliable, consistent attendance is required

Pay Details: $22.00 to $30.00 per hour
