Responsibilities
Program Scope: The Engineering Technician will be responsible for assisting engineers' daily tasks, including designing, developing and maintaining equipment or components. Engineering technicians also conduct tests, troubleshoot issues, and report on their findings to ensure optimal efficiency.
Our ideal candidate is a critical thinker who is proficient with various engineering software tools and has an excellent understanding of engineering concepts and principles.
Key Responsibilities
Assist engineers in designing, developing, and testing products, machinery or systems
Perform and document test procedures and scenarios for troubleshooting and system verification
Prepare detailed drawings or technical illustrations of machinery or systems
Identify and recommend system improvements to improve technical performance
Assist with PLC programming and modifications to current or new equipment as needed
Ensure all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes comply with established policies and regulations
Working alongside engineers to design, build, and test solutions to technical problems.
Inspecting and modifying existing designs and prototypes.
Conducting research, collecting data, and writing project updates.
Using CAD software to develop designs and implement feedback from Engineers.
Assist Maintenance with troubleshooting and problem solving when needed for technical assistance
Design and building of various electrical control cabinets and related controls
Mechanical fabrication of Test fixtures and tooling fixtures
Qualifications
Working knowledge of PLCs and drives
Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment
Strong understanding of engineering concepts and principles
Proficiency in engineering software tools
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Strong technical drawing skills
Ability to interpret technical specifications and drawings both mechanical and electrical
Associate or bachelor's degree in an engineering or technology field or 3+ years of technical role experience.
Working knowledge of current NEC/ANSI codes as well as related OSHA safety standards

SolidWorks or equivalent 3D drafting software
Allen Bradley and or Siemens
Studio 5000
Electrical trouble shooting AC & DC circuits
Robotics programming
